Akpososo hails Oborevwori two years of transformative governance in Delta state
Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta state on Religious Affairs and International Secretary of the Urhobo Christian Ministers Association International, Bishop Dr Duke Akpososo, has described the first two years of the administration of Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori, Governor of Delta state as transformative and impactful, having touched all parts of the state with superlative performance, declaring that the governor deserves a second term in office by 2027.
In a statement released to newsmen on Thursday, Bishop Akpososo eulogizes the governor for changing the face of the state without borrowing from any financial institution.
He said, “God is a wonderful God. He brought Sheriff Oborevwori to change the face of Delta state. Deltans are very pleased with him and are already clamouring for second term for him because he has character. He is very honest, nobody will stop him. See what he has done in just two years to the Ughelli-Asaba Road. That is a road that defied the performance of several governors. He came and in just two years, he delivered.
‘’See what he is doing with Julius Berger at DSC Roundabout, PTI Junction and Enerhen Junction. It is nothing short of a miracle. The three flyovers are magnificent and changing the face of Effurun and its environs. One is proud to be associated with Oborevwori. He has performed beyond expectations and it is marvelous in our sight.
‘’His transformative leadership in his first two years in office has laid a formidable foundation for visible renewal and sustainable progress. The MORE Agenda is not just a slogan, it is a demonstrable commitment to rebuilding our economy, securing Delta state and improving the quality of life for all Deltans’’, he added.
Akpososo also expressed his profound appreciation for President Tinubu’s steadfastness and courage in implementing necessary reforms, even in the face of global economic uncertainties.
He emphasized that the collaborative spirit between the Presidency and Delta state which culminated in the collapse of PDP into the APC in Delta State ‘’is crucial for unlocking our state’s full potential and drawing down the benefits of a synergistic relationship between the state and the federal government towards accelerated development across the state and we are proud to be a part of this progressive journey.
‘’The renewed focus of the Governor on development of critical infrastructure across the state and commitment to human capital development are clear indicators of a leader determined to deliver on his promises. We are super proud of Governor Oborevwori.
‘’As we celebrate his second year in office, we can only wish him strength, wisdom, and divine guidance, so that he can continue to lead Delta state towards greater heights of peace, unity, and prosperity’’, Akpososo said, appealing to the governor to also extend his goodwill to address the sorry state of the main Udu road, Orhuwhorun-Owhrode road, and the Oleri-Obubu road all in Udu Local Government Area of the state for accelerated development in the area.
He further added that the governor should endeavor to assist the Urhobo nation in completing the UPU international Secretariat in Uvwiamughe which is the symbol of unity and dignity of the Urhobo people.
